Lights On? Off? is playfully make you question your relation with light bulbs. The piece is inviting you to experiment with an on/off button. The piece consist of a pedestal with a big light bulb, a power cord clearly connected to an outlet, and a red button. As soon as the participant reaches out for the button, the light starts acting. Is it going to stay on? If it going to turn off? Do I have any control upon when and how the light turns on? The piece uses a simple sensor to detect the participant, while the button is actually not really connected to anything.
